Good things

We got her today! 10 week old, Yorkshire Terrier! We named her Maxine, Max or Maxi for short. She's such a sweetie. I swear she was the first one to jump towards me in the pen of other yorkies. They only had three females to chose from and she was the middle sized one. The teacup was too small and the bigger one was very shy and ran away from me. I picked Maxine because she was the most loving and exciting one. I took her with me to Brian's baseball game, and she loved it. She ran through the grass, played follow the leader (me) and then when it got a little chilly I had her nested in my zip up sweater with her head sticking out looking at everything. Right now she's laying down under the chair from which I sit at. I think she's rather taken with me. Nicole has been trying to play with her for the past half hour but after a few seconds she trots back over to my chair and lays down under it. I feel bad because Niki really wants her to be close to her but I'm sure with given time it will happen. I was just the first person to pick her up and play with her so of course its the chick hatching syndrome, the first person she sees she thinks is her mom. I love her already, she seems to listen and respond to me. I think it's sweet when she follows me around too. Not to be mean or anything but I'd hope she'd be attached to me. The last dog we had, Precious, was attached to me too. Maybe I'm just a pet person. We just brought her up to the bathroom where she'll be staying for a while. She was falling asleep underneath me so we thought we should take her up so she can lay down in the little cage with the tshirt under her. Don't worry the door was taken off the cage so she's free to roam the small area of the bathroom. Well I tried to talk to Marie today, and we did for a few minutes before I had to hang up and finish watching smallville. IT was such a great season finale. Anyway Marie told me that she had gone to the senior awards assembly and received 6 awards! For chorus, drama, and some other chorus stuff. I was very impressed. BUt then again her class had less competition than mine did. Either way she deserved them for working so hard and having to wait for people like me to leave the highschool so she could get a little spotlight. I tried to call her back after the show ended but no one picked up. I'll talk to her tomorrow maybe. I'm glad she called me back after I left her a message on her machine. Anywho I'm gonna go for now.
